Nowadays,role-play becomes a more effective teaching method in the class.It does great help to improve students’ English expression.Role-play which highlights the interactions and communication among teachers and students can create a positive atmosphere and raise the teaching efficiency.Meanwhile it gives opportunities to make the teacher and students’ hearts get closer through more communications.In the course of role-play,the students can not only master the linguistic skills,but also cultivate the students’ character of loving lives.The team corporation,analysis,appreciation and key competencies will be improved in the role-play.Guided by the theories of cooperation and constructivism,the author of this study centers on an action research on the application of role-play activities in primary English teaching.The research issues are as follows:(1)How can role-play activities be applied in primary English classes?(2)What is the influence on the students’ interest when adopting role-play activities in primary English classes?(3)What is the influence on the students’ sense of teamwork when adopting role-play activities in primary English classes?Through two-round research spanning for 5 months,the author found out that role-play can stimulate the students interests,positivity and cultivate the abilities of autonomic learning.Meanwhile role-play does great help to know each other well and improve sense of cooperation so that the students’ competencies rise in the new level.However,we still found out some problems:(1)How does the teacher make use of the text to create the role-play context reasonably?(2)How does the teacher group the students effectively before role-play?(3)How does the teacher arrange the class time and control the class pace well?(4)How does the teacher perfect the teacher to student assessment system in the course of role-play? The author will try to summarize and make some reflection targeted at some specific measures in the research.The author hopes that the research can give some implication to English teachers,making English class more popular,more efficient.
