Andersen’s fairy tale has been in China for a hundred years and has been interpreted for a hundred years. With the continuous exploration of Andersen’s fairy tales by researchers, the study of the relationship between Andersen’s fairy tales and nature has gradually been enriched.Based on the predecessors’ foundations and based on the careful reading of Andersen’s fairy tales, this paper focuses on the analysis of the embodiment of natural concepts in Andersen’s fairy tales. This article focuses on the various connections between Andersen’s fairy tales and natural concepts. This article is divided into three parts, namely Andersen’s fairy tales and classical natural concepts,Andersen’s fairy tales and modern natural concepts,Andersen’s fairy tales and modern natural concepts. The author’s division of the "ancient","modern" and "modern" periods of natural concepts is based on the usual method of time division in the history of Western philosophy. In the first part, the classical natural concepts in Andersen’s fairy tales are material, moving, and divine. The three images of "body","elf" and "death" in Andersen’s fairy tale show the characteristics of matter, movement and divinity in classical natural concepts. In the first section, the soul is connected in tandem with material and is returned to itself. The body is the bearing of the soul and the tool of the soul.In the daughter of the sea,the mermaid acquires a sublime soul in order to get rid of the body.In the second section,Andersen’s fairy tale shows the ecological thought of all things. The "spirit" here is defined as "divineness".The divine nature penetrates into nature and is naturally a growing organism. The characteristics of the reverence and domination of divine prose in Andersen’s fairy tales are expressed through the elves(ice girls, etc.),which also contain ideas such as totem worship. The third section of the death in Andersen’s fairy tale shows the characteristics of movement in the concept of nature.Nature is the basic material of each of its own roots of movement change. The "death" inAndersen’s fairy tale can peep into the movement of nature is self-movement and struggle. The classical natural concepts in Andersen’s fairy tales are generally divine, poetic, and lucid. The second part,in the modern concept of nature, with the development of science and technology and the arrival of the Western Renaissance, rationality and humanism are its most prominent features. At the same time, modern natural science and philosophy have jointly completed the obscuration of classical natural concepts. The modern concept of nature in Andersen’s fairy tale is rational, mechanical, and metaphysical. The law of nature is to conform to reason and to reflect the principle of reason. At this level, the law of nature is almost synonymous with reason. The two dynamic behaviors and "souls" of "salvation" and "exile" in Andersen’s fairy tale show the characteristics of modern natural concepts. The first section reflects the characteristics of man-made and rational in reason through the behavior of "salvation" of witches and techniques in Andersen’s fairy tales. In the second section, the behavior of "exile" and "traveling" in Andersen’s fairy tales shows the characteristics of mechanical control and locality, which also shows the tendency of pantheism. This section is also based on pantheism. The soul in Andersen’s fairy tale in the third section reflects the characteristics of continuity and permanence in modern natural concepts. In modern times, only things in nature are natural. The things that participate in human activities are unnatural and artificial, thus obscuring the connotation of the divine nature of classical natural views. The artifacts in Andersen’s fairy tale that are in the era of machine production are,to a certain extent, obscuring the classical concept of nature. In the third part, the modern concept of nature in Andersen’s fairy tale is evolutionary, beautiful and harmonious, and to a certain extent contains the return to the classical concept of nature. The return to nature and the critique of science and technology actually reflect the core idea of ??the ecological holistic view.In the first section, the image of wound healing in Andersen’s fairy tale shows the characteristics of evolution.A variety of animals and plants play an indispensable role in Andersen’s fairy tales. In the second section, the imagery of plants is used to express the characteristics of modern nature that are infinite and changing. The description of the characteristics and behavior of animals in Andersen’s fairy tale contains the retrospection of love and soul. The thirdsection highlights the fact that love is the expression of Andersen’s fairy tale.Love is born in nature,it is the advocacy and pursuit of our life, and so is beauty. The love, truth, kindness and beauty of Andersen’s fairy tale in the modern concept of nature are vivid. This paper focuses on the correlation between Andersen’s fairy tales and classical natural concepts, modern natural concepts and modern natural concepts, and provides a new idea for the current Chinese children’s literature writing.
