The Study On The Decoration Art Of Jingdezhen Xincai Ceramics

Decorative art of Xincai ceramics from Jingdezhen is selected as object of study in this paper.The Xincai belongs to one kind of color decoration of ceramic glaze and is an important part of Jingdezhen Ceramic Art.In the course of the development of the Xincai,with the advantages including the color tone and hue remains basically the same before and after firing,color purity and luster are increased after firing,and the process is easy to master.etc.it is known and widely used in the shortest time in the absence of a long history and accumulation of years.By studying the relevant literature,the author found that although scholars have studied the decorative art of Xincai ceramics in Jingdezhen,there are few academic works specially written for it.In spite of short development history unlike traditional ceramic decoration technique,it still occupies a place in Jingdezhen ceramic art.With its special artistic language,Xincai influences the continuity and development of contemporary Jingdezhen ceramic culture,which is worth to research.The purpose of this paper is to comprehensively analyze the history,technology,content and language of the decorative art of Xincai ceramics and its continuation in contemporary times,to excavate its artistic characteristics and aesthetic value and to explore its prospects for development.It is hoped that more readers can feel the charm of the Xincai ceramic decorative art because of the author’s research.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,introducing the research background,purpose,significance,current research situation,research methods,and innovation point of the research at home and abroad and clearly explaining the research direction of the subject;The second chapter defines the concept of Xincai ceramics,expounds the localization and evolution of the decorative art of Xincai ceramics and its development status.The third chapter analyzes the process of decorative art of Xincai ceramics from three aspects including tool materials,process technique and decoration technique.The fourth chapter discusses the decorative patterns and techniques of the Xincai ceramics from the aspects of the content,the techniques and the presentation methods.The fifth chapter explores and analyses the artistic language of Jingdezhen Xincai Ceramics,summarizes the artistic characteristics of the decorative Art of Xincai Ceramics,and analyzes its aesthetic characteristics and artistic value;The sixth chapter discusses the influence of modern design concept on the decorative art of Xincai ceramics.Based on the author’s graduation design,the author reconsider it and makes a prospect for the future of the decorative art of Xincai ceramics.In summary,this paper draws a conclusion by applying field investigation,literature research,design practice and other research methods.Research on this subject can improve deficiency of the Xincai ceramic decorative art in Jingdezhen area so as to make full attention to the Xincai in the local.At the same time,it is summarized and analyzed from the historical origin,technological characteristics and performance content of the decorative art of Xincai ceramics.Through enumerating and discussing the artistic characteristics and techniques of the representative Xincai ceramic works,this paper obtains the enlightenment of the decorative art of Xincai ceramics to the modern ceramic design and its development direction in the contemporary design.
