Performance Of Loneliness In Tim·Eitel’s Works

In 2018,Pace Gallery hosted the first Beijing solo exhibition "Sites and Attitudes" for German artist Tim Eitel.More than ten oil paintings created by the artist were exhibited.This exhibition is very rewarding for me.Ettle is famous for depicting the urban landscape of contemporary society and the lonely life of people.Through the detailed deduction and refinement of reality,the unfamiliar and disconnected feelings between the contemporary city and the people living there are vividly expressed.The walker walking alone in Tim Eitel’s work,the homeless tramp,the abandoned cart is not the existence of urban loneliness,his style is simple and abstract but reveals the contemporary urban society.The epitome of it.The problem of loneliness is becoming more and more prominent in contemporary Chinese society.Therefore,I chose Tim Eitel as the research object and started to focus on two key issues.The first question is how to express loneliness in creation.The other is: how to solve the problem of contemporary social loneliness.This thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the research significance and research status of this paper,and helps readers to have a clearer understanding of the following discussion.The second chapter is the main content of this thesis.It analyzes the background of Tim Eitel,related theories,creation and expression,and analyzes how Tim Eitel’s works express loneliness.The third chapter is the enlightenment of this research to me,combined with the improvement of research results,to reorganize the creative methodology.In combination with my actual creation,I hope to improve my creative theme.
