A Study On The“Gui Zang”in The Song Dynasty

The concept of "Fallen leaves return to the roots" has a long history in ancient Chinese society.The "Gui Zang" is to return the people who died in the countryside to the graves of their ancestors in their hometown for Gui Zang or to be buried next to their ancestral graves.As a kind of Gui Zang custom in ancient Chinese society,"Gui Zang" is not only a reflection of the concept of death of people in the society at that time,but also an identification of the family with blood relationship as a link.The article combs and probes into the development and evolution of Gui Zang in Song Dynasty and summarizes the characteristics of the times of Gui Zang custom in Song Dynasty,and it based on the tombs of the unearthed Song Dynasty and the inscriptionss collected in the Song Dynasty,combined with the Gui Zang etiquette system of the Song Dynasty,and from the four aspects of Song Dynasty "concept of Gui Zang","the reasons,the time and the sites for Gui Zang ","the analysis of the Gui Zang groups of officials in the Song Dynasty" and "the concept of Gui Zang embodied in the Gui Zang problems in the Song Dynasty".Under the historical perspective of the Tang and Song change dynasties,the Song Dynasty had more or less changes with the previous generations,whether it was from the political system,economic form,social customs,and ideas.It has begun to change with the characteristics of the times whether it was in the specific form of Gui Zang or in the concept of Gui Zang.In general,the Song Dynasty paid more attention to Gui Zang with relatives in the concept of Gui Zang;In the time of Gui Zang,there has been a phenomenon of "died a long time without Gui Zang" due to the influence of economic and Feng Shui factors;In the choice of Gui Zang sites,it formed the social atmosphere in the Song Dynasty society that "families don't care about genealogies,and everyone doesn't care about their origins" because of the large mobility of the social population.It was under the influence of this social environment that the Song people were reduced in the ideological bondage they were subjected to when they chose to return to familly Gui Zang,and they began to choose to establish another "new cemetery" to change the Gui Zang site of their families.As a part ofancient Chinese Gui Zang custom,the change of Gui Zang custom is influenced by Song people's Gui Zang concept,and it also reflects the change of Song people's Gui Zang concept.
