| Raimon Panikkar believes that religious encounters are the characteristics of the times,opposes the global expansion of civilization dominated by technology,rejects universal theology resolutely,resists the spread unchecked of universalism in religion and theology,advocates interfaith forgiveness and reconciliation and supports interfaith dialogue.Besides,interfaith dialogue can be divided into three levels,dialectical dialogue,dialogical dialogue and the spiritual dialogue harmonizing human being,god and universe.The essence of dialectical dialogue is the application and publicity of rational thought,believing that the reason is common and can make an agreement in theory.However,human being not only has reason but other dimensions that are not transparent to conciousness such as mythology,body,feelings,the world and so on.Human being is not the whole existence or endless,he is only a part of the world.Dialectical dialogue will be subject to rational limitations.so interfaith dialogue is not just a gathering of philosophers to discuss intellect and reason.Dialogical dialogue can realize that the temporary and accidental existence of their own and its limitation reflected in the humble attitude that is not only a moral virtue,but the either-or rational thinking model that transcends dialectical dialogue and let one be open to the other and reveal the myth each other,which leads to the transformation of deification and makes some problems solved through the expansion of deification.The essence is that human nature interfaith dialogue itself becomes an independent pole in religious development.Therefore,He puts forward the myth of the universe-god-human being communion,which is the third level of dialogue providing a new myth for the times and becomes the highest level and stage of religious dialogue.Meanwhile,he clearly realizes that any kind of dialogue mode in theory has its own obstacles that can’t overcome by itself.Human being is the principle part of dialogue.Only life becomes the stage of dialogue,will actual and effective dialogue occur.Therefore,his interfaith dialogue is a practical dialogue mode that transcends the theoretical limitations.The research of his thought can not only deepen the study of the interfaith dialogue of notable doctrine but also provide an important perspective for scientific research.Most importantly,it has the reference value to solve the problem of the times.Panikkar understands religions from the viewpoint of existentialism.there is no case that uses one thing to explain another thing.The key is the growth,that is,the world human beingand the divine can grow together.The growth is the proper category in guiding interfaith encounters.life is the journey of pilgrimage of all kinds of religious traditions.The process will continue to exist and interfaith dialogue will proceed. |
