| The film subtitles as a symbol of the performance of the film art,the public often only note that it as the text has the identity and interpretation of the role,and rarely pay attention to it as an art form has a unique aesthetic implication.For the development of this film only a hundred years of art form,the public awareness of the film subtitles is also very limited,and for the film subtitle font system research information is very few.I collected from the beginning of the birth of the film to the present at home and abroad more than 400 subtitles font design case,according to the timeline for the development of the basis for classification,sorting,and through three different entry point on the subtitle font design Contrast,and its development background analysis and interpretation:(A)the author combined with the film history of the film development stage division,the film subtitles development period summarized into three stages: the beginning of the film to the 20 th century,30 years,20 th century 30 From the 1970 s to the 1970 s,the development process of subtitle font design and the various forms of subtitle font design were discussed.(B)Exploring the different manifestations of the subtitle font from the 2D to the three-dimensional development stage under the influence of the mainstream media,and thinking about the plight of the development of the subtitle font at the present stage.(C)to study and analyze the types of fonts,and to explore the subtitle font forms produced by combining the three forms of typography and the narrative of prints,art characters and calligraphy.From the above three angles on the film subtitle font content of a specific analysis,summed up the subtitle font development of the three stages: "functional-artistic-functional and aesthetic unity."In this paper,the author combined with their own principles of semiotics,design semiotics and other knowledge,with the perspective of semiotics as a theoretical basis to argue the theme.The subtitle font as a complete symbol system,from its overall development stage and characteristics of the argument: "symbol of their own transformation of the three stages" and subtitle font development of the three stages of consistency,through the consistency of the two The analogy and analysis,to explain the film subtitle font as a text symbol in the development of how to become an art form.The paper analyzes and summarizes the symbolic features of the subtitlefont,explains the importance of the "graphic" and "seditious" features of the subtitle font,and explores the construction method and purpose of the subtitle font symbol system through the concrete application example.In the pursuit of subtitle font form and video content in the process of unity,to achieve subtitle font functionality and aesthetic unity.This paper analyzes the film subtitle font from the two major aspects of visual language performance and design semiotics theory: on the one hand,it systematically integrates the subtitle font information and explores the development stage of the subtitle font form.On the other hand,the subtitle font as a complete symbol system,in the construction of its symbol system to explore the subtitle font design rules and standards,combined with semiotics theory for its development to seek a breakthrough for the development of film subtitles art into the fresh blood. |
