Data Analysis And Research On 20th Century Fox Animated Film' Shooting Script

In recent years,20th Century Fox Film Corporation produced series of immortal classic animated films such as the Ice Age and the Rio which were widely popular in the global scope.This paper chooses the animation films which were created by 20th Century Fox as the research object,Selects the story board which was occupied the key position in the animation production process to research.The main contents are analyzing every frame of the animated films produced by Blue sky studios which belongs to 20th Century Fox during the period of 2000 to 2015,then counting the proportion of all shooting design related elements in the whole film——including shot size,depth of field,angle of view,camera stand,connecting lens,camera movement and so on——which were contained in every scene.Summarizing the law.Trying to offer the experiment data and the theory basis about animation design which can be referenced by animators for designing shooting script.The first part outlined the development course of Chinese animations and the research status of animated movie,analysed the research achievements of 20th century fox animation,discussed the purpose and meaning of this paper's topic selection in order to reflect the uniqueness and necessity of research contents in this paper.The second part started to analyze the data of the animated films produced by 20th century fox.To count the number of shot size and depth of field in each film at first.Then respectively calculated the proportion of these two elements which belong to animated shooting script.Concluding the effective data through this comparative analysis.The third part researched the shooting angle and direction,classified,recorded and compared every movie scene to get the proportion of each animated movie's element.Summarized the practical application of camera shooting angle and shooting direction.The fourth part studied in the camera movement style and the movie scenes connecting ways of 20th century fox animated films.,statisticed and analyzed of the data.Finally came to the conclusion.The fifth part applied the conclusion to practice creation to prove it could be referenced.Based on the data statistics of 20th century fox's animated film shooting script,combining with the example analysed the concepts,characteristics and functions of the elements of each shooting.At last the useful method about how to use the each element of the animated shooting was summed up.
