The narrative of localization has always been one of the most important parts of Sino-Indonesian literature.At different times,the narrative of localization of Sino-Indonesian literature has its own characteristics,showing a phased change.This change is mainly influenced by the situation in Indonesia,the relationship between China and Indonesia,and the policies adopted by the Indonesian government to the chinese people.This thesis divides the narrative of localization of Sino-Indonesian literature into three chapters.Then analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and evolution of the narrative of localization of the Sino-Indonesian literature in the various periods of the war from the literary point of view.At the same time,draw on the relevant research achievements in the field of history,try to investigate the historical context of the Sino-Indonesian writers,explore the relationship between the writers,works and the historical context of the three,and examining the internal and external factors which influence and promoting the narrative of localization of Sino-Indonesian literature.This thesis is compound with below chapters and details:The introduction part mainly includes the definition of main perspective involved in this paper,combing the existing research achievements of the Sino-Indonesian literature in the academic circles,clarifying the scope of this article,and pointing out the main research methods and research significance of this paper.The first chapter is about the transformation of Sino-Indonesian literature from overseas Chinese literature to the narrative of localization.This chapter discusses the development of Sino-Indonesian literature from overseas chinese literature to the narrative of localization.Before the war,due to the translation of the Chinese classical literary works by the Chinese writers who lived in Indonesia,And the influence of the May 4th New Cultural Movement,the Sino-Indonesian literary before the war showed the characteristics of national consciousness and anti Japanese war consciousness.After the end of World War II,although some Chinese writers still had strong mother country complex or dual national identity,the Sino-Indonesian literature in this period had begun to turn from the overseas chinese society to the local Indonesian society.The changing was first reflected in the deepening of the Indonesian sentiment,which is mainly manifested in the following aspects:writing the life of the overseas Chinese in the Southeast Asia,caring for the social reality of Indonesia,the unity and love of the Indonesian people in writing,the common fight against the enemy,and the history of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia;The history of the Indonesian;the translation of Indonesian Literature into Chinese is published in the Chinese newspaper.Secondly,the use of Indonesian language and the description of native scenery.The second chapter examines the localization of Sino-Indonesian literature in the period of imprisonment.As the Indonesian government had adopted extreme policies such as blocking Chinese schools,Chinese newspapers and prohibiting the use of Chinese language,Sino-Indonesian literature had been in a difficult period of survival and hardship.In this environment,on the one hand,the Sino-Indonesian naturalization process was accelerating,and the Chinese writers were more conscious of the narrative of localization;on the other hand,the writer can only write some works related to the Indonesian native,because the writers can not write any more subjects related to the overseas Chinese society or China,which was also accelerated.The narrative of localization of Chinese literature in this period mainly manifests in the following two aspects:the love of Indonesian landscape and the care for the life of Indonesian people.This chapter will focus on the new characteristics of the narrative of localization in this period,and compare the differences between the published works in Indonesia and those published abroad.The third chapter explores the narrative of localization of the Sino-Indonesian literature in the revival period.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia in 1990,the harsh environment of Sino-Indonesian literature had loosened,and writers’ writing mentality had gradually opened up.Especially in the late 90s,with the change of the Indonesian political environment,the Chinese also gained the right to write Chinese literature freely.The native writing of Sino-Indonesian literature was becoming more and more mature.The narrative of localization of this period has the following two characteristics:on one hand,it continued the tradition of Indonesian daily life in Sino-Indonesian literature,focusing on the new problems in the life of the Indonesian people,such as satirize and criticize the prevailing custom of the worship of gold in the society;on the other hand,some writers looked back on thesocial situation of Chinese in Indonesiain their works,writing the unjust treatment of the Chinese in the past twenty years,expresses the desire and hope of gaining the right and integrating into the Indonesian society,mainly in the following three aspects:the spiritual trauma of the Indonesian Chinese and the memory of the Chinese school,the heroic performance of the Indonesian Chinese in the war of independence,and the Chinese and Indonesian.The living scene of the peaceful coexistence of the various ethnic groups.The conclusion is a summary of the characteristics of the narrative of localization of Sino-Indonesian literature in the three periods.
