| The reform of English curriculum in high school emphasizes the ability of comprehensive language application from five aspects: learning strategy,emotional attitude,language knowledge,language skills and cultural consciousness.Traditional English teaching attaches great importance to the memory and recitation of students’ English,and neglects the students’ emotional goals and the application of knowledge.Inquiry teaching adopts the teaching mode of "autonomy,cooperation and inquiry",so that students can use knowledge while learning it.Reading is different from words and grammar,which is the embodiment of English comprehensive ability.The improvement of reading ability requires not only the accumulation of basic knowledge,but also reading skills and strategies.Besides,it also needs students’ ability to deepen and transfer knowledge.The application of mind mapping makes students memorize and represent knowledge more intuitively and skillfully.By this way,consolidate the basic knowledge and complete the construction of knowledge.This study to the grade one class 23 and 24 in high school of 108 students as subjects,respectively by the methods of questionnaire,interview method,experimental method,research methods to carry out the three-month experiment.In the course of the experiment,class 23 was the experimental class,meanwhile,the class 24 was the control class,The experimental class adopts the traditional teaching method,as the same time,control class uses the inquiry teaching.For the results of the study,interview,questionnaire and test were used respectively to analyze the results of the two classes.The purpose is to discuss whether the inquisitive teaching based on the mind map in high school English reading is effective.The results of it use Spss,Excel and other soft wares to analysis.According to the experimental results,the following conclusions are drawn.1.Exploratory teaching based on mind mapping can stimulate students’ interest in learning reading courses.2.Exploratory teaching based on mind mapping can make students develop excellent study habits,cultivate learning strategies and improve their reading performance.3.Use mind mapping to teach can make students visualize teaching content,strengthen memories,clear logic and improve learning efficiency. |
