Different Vicarious Embarrassments Of Closeness Influence Implicit Helping Tendency

As an uncomfortable self-conscious emotion,embarrassment occurs in the state of individual physiology errors,cognitive shortcomings and lack of physical control,etc.,in violation of social public rules,when the individual is in a state of embarrassment,it will induce the series of evasive,prosocial and other different behaviors.vicarious embarrassment refers to a form of alternative social pain for the public's shortcomings,mistakes or rule violations.The characters in the alternative situation have observers and someone who is be observed;closeness can be described as the closeness between self and others Relationship;therefore there are alternatives to high and low closeness.There are three different outcomes for the study of defamation and helping behavior: the individuality of deafness induces prosocial behavior;there is no correlation between deafness and helping behavior;deafness inhibits individual socialization and reduces helping behavior;the results have not yet been conclusive.Therefore,this study explores the impact of the closeness between observers and someone who is be observed on the tendency of implicit help.The study consisted of two experiments.Experiment 1 explored the effects of different closeness on alternative sputum.By viewing the two sets of comics of different closeness,the content and context were completely matched,and the experimental method was used to score the degree of substitution of each comic.Experiment 2 uses the results of the study-validation,the sputum type was divided into two groups: high closeness embarrassment and low closeness vicarious embarrassment,and the use of the verified embarrassment comics in Study 1 to evoke the alternative embarrassment emotion,using IAT(implicit association)Test,to test the impact of alternative closeness on the implicit help tendency.It aims to examine the impact of alternative closeness on the implicit helping tendency.The results show that compared with the closeness of self and strangers,the closeness between self and mother is higher;whether it is high closeness or low closeness,embarrassment comics are more likely to induce observers than neutral comics.The alternative embarrassment;closeness affects embarrassment,watching high closeness is in a paralyzed situation,the alternative embarrassment feeling is more intense;watching low closeness is in a paralyzed situation,the alternative embarrassment feeling weaker.Embarrassment comics can induce higher substitutions in individuals,rather thanemotions in other daily life.In terms of relative attacks,individuals who watch high or low closeness are in a paralyzed situation,which will cause the participants to have a strong tendency to help others.Research conclusions: closeness affects vicarious embarrassment,different closeness have an impact on the implicit help tendency.In the future,we may consider extending the research conclusions to the individual's real situation of helping behavior.
