Lukacs is a great Marxist philosopher in Hungary in the 20th century. In his book History and Class Consciousness published in 1923,he first put forward the theory of materialization. The proposition of Materialization Theory criticizes the so-called scientific Marxist research position of the Second International of Europe in the early 20th century, criticizes the trend of capitalist society's limited research on Marxist theory in the economic field, and opens up a new field of Marxist philosophy research. From the perspective of materialization theory, this paper expounds the internal ideological process of Lukacs' thought's transformation to the road of Marxism in his early years. This paper holds that Lukacs dissects the materialization of capitalist society under the thought of Marx's commodity fetishism, and internalizes Max Weber's rationality principle into it.While analyzing the materialization phenomena in the basic fields of capitalist society,he presents the construction, operation principles and essential characteristics of materialization theory, and finally completes the Materialization Theory in materialization consciousness. This paper expounds and draws a conclusion about the materialized destiny of capitalist society.Later,Lukacs proposed to break through the materialized destiny of capitalist society with the theoretical weapon of Overall Dialectics and the main force of the proletariat, but Lukacs placed his hope on "God" on the question of "how to produce proletarian consciousness among workers bound by materialized destiny".Materialization theory later became the source of Western Marxist critical theory and established Lukacs as the originator of Western Marxist research.
