The Reaserch On Cuidoucan’ "The Drift Record"

"The drift record" is a Chinese travel notes written by Korean drifter Cui Doucan,it mainly describes the event of Cui Doucan who traveled to China in the 23rd year of Jiaqing(1818)."The drift record" detailed recorded Cui Doucan’ s knowledge and interpersonal contacts in China and showed the Chinese society in the eyes of foreign drifters by the form of a diary.Therefore,this paper takes the perspective of drifting people from Korea as an entry point,and studies the author’ s life,the process of writing,the content of the book,the poetry and the value of The drift recoed”.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly expounds the purpose,significance,research status,research scope and methods of the study of "The drift record".The second chapter mainly introduces the author’ s life and the process of writing "The drift record".Based on the prefaces,text content and the epitaphs written for Cui Docan,the life and experience of Cui Docan can be introduced from the two aspects of Cui Docan’ s family history and experiences.Analyze the political,cultural background and book-making process of the book "The drift record",and summarize the existing version of "The drift record".The third chapter mainly analyzes the text content of the book"The drift record".I chose Harvard’ s "The drift record" and the National Central Library of Korea’s manuscript "The drift record"as the reaserch version of the study.First of all,the paper analyze the different treatment of Cui Doucan when he floated in China;secondly,the paper analyze Cui Docan’ s knowledge from the four aspects of mountain and river geography,local customs,town scene and Chinese image.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the poems included in the book.Firstly,it analyzes the creative environment of poetry in "The drift record",inspects the relationship between Cui Doucan and the Qing Dynasty literatis.Secondly,the paper analyzes the theme and emotion of these poems.By analyzing these poems,which included in "The drift record" you can understand and inspect the experience and inner feelings of Cui Doucan when he traveled to China.The fifth chapter inspect the value of "The drift record" from two aspects,the one is literary value and the ather one is document value.First,"The drift record" is a Chinese trip written by Korean drifters,which is enriching the Korean travelling literature theme,and "The drift record" retains the phenomenon of poetry and interpersonal communication,it is rare in the written records written by other drifters,therefore,"The drift record" has literary value.Second,"The drift record" provides a detailed reference to Cui Doucan’ s travels to China’ s itinerary,and provides certain references in the study of the administrative divisions of the Qing Dynasty and the Grand Canal.The description of the activities of the drifters Cui Doucan in China is supplementing the Qing Dynasty and drifter problem,the relevant materials of the research on this issue also have certain document value;"The drift record" has repeatedly recorded the exchanges between Cui Doucan and the Qing Dynasty scholars,which is inspecting the exchanges between the Chinese and Korean ordinary scholars in the unofficial diplomatic environment have important value.Finally,it is the conclusion part,which mainly summarizes the research content of the paper.
