Minimalism and minimalism are two extremes of design style. They oppose the abstraction and indifference emphasized by minimalism, whereas minimalism pays attention to emotional expression.Reject that too straightforward rational statement.Throughout the history of art in the West,we can find that every art movement in history is swinging periodically between complexity and simplicity. For example, the representative schools of extreme complexity:medieval Gothic art,18th century Baroque art and Rococo style,19th century Victorian style.New Art Movement in the 20th Century,Pop Art,Low Eyebrow Art,etc.Minimalism is represented by Bauhaus,Dutch style movement, internationalism style and so on.In most cases, minimalism and minimalism coexist side by side. The main controversy between the supporters of minimalism and the supporters of minimalism is the difference between utilitarianism and ornamental ism.Extremely complicated doctrine is characterized by mobility, drama and exaggeration. In graphic design,it can strengthen the graphic vocabulary to the extreme in a perceptual way,so as to deepen the aesthetic experience of the viewer and arouse strong resonance. In the current graphic design style I know, there is no fixed creative group and clear theoretical declaration of extreme complexity. There is no definite style school. So I think this is a topic worthy of further study and development. As a way of expression, the use of extreme complexity is no different from that of China and the West. For thousands of years,Chinese traditional culture has contained the concept of extreme complexity.Nationality is also the world, thousands of years of wisdom crystallization-Chinese traditional visual elements just can provide inspiration for the extreme complexity of graphic design in China. For example, traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy,Beijing Opera,Chinese architecture and totem. The Qianlong period advocating ornamentalism, the combination of native and foreign countries, and the period of the Republic of China when China and the West were united, etc. All of them can be used for reference in modern graphic design.
