Research On Ethical Problems Caused By Robot Technology

Robot technology currently involves many fields,such as military,medical,education,etc.It can not only replace human production work,but also closely related to people’s daily life.At present,there is still no uniform definition of "robot" in the world.Generally speaking,robots are programmed and have some functions of human beings or organisms.They can replace some machines that human beings work on.The first real robot met the world in 1959.Robot technology has made great progress in the past decades.Especially in the industrial field,the output of various assembly robots is growing rapidly.The development trend of robotics technology in foreign countries mainly includes the following aspects: research and development direction from labor-oriented robots to service-oriented robots;material conversion;technical performance improvement.Robots can be classified into intelligent service robots(including home intelligent robots and professional service robots)and intelligent industrial robots.The relationship between robots and humans shows a double-thriving situation: the demand for robots is increasing,and the impact of robots on human society is deepening.Robots pose a threat to human subjectivity.The concepts of "subject" and "subjectivity" did not appear until modern times.Subjectivity is the basic stipulation gradually acquired by human beings as subjects in the practical activities of the day after tomorrow.It is the consciousness,initiative and creativity embodied in the relationship between human beings and their objects.The development of robots threatens the dominant position of human beings.With the development of robotic technology,the dominant position of human beings has been subverted: on the one hand,human beings have become objects,losing their subjectivity and being forced to be controlled by robots.On the other hand,robots have become the main body.With the continuous development of artificial intelligence,the role of human is becoming more and more simplified.It is difficult for human creativity to be brought into full play.Robots do everything human beings can do.Robots also have some negative effects on human intersubjectivity.The academia has made a detailed discussion on whether robots can be regarded as moral subjects.At present,there is no unified opinion and judgment standard.However,once the robot has the subjectivity,it will lead to a series of negative consequences,such as exacerbating the panic of doomsday pessimism,hindering the all-round development of human beings,and inhibiting the development of human creativity.Robots are harmful to people’s daily life.In today’s daily life,due to the continuous development and maturity of technology,intelligent robots can be produced in large quantities and widely used in all aspects of human daily life.Especially in the current society,the widespread use of UAVs and intelligent escort robots,privacy for human beings is not so easy to be protected.Human physical privacy,psychological privacy,decision-making privacy and Information privacy is impaired to varying degrees by the use of intelligent robots.Robot technology may also erode people’s moral feelings,weakening human emotions and dissolving sexual morality.Robot technology will or has impacted the real moral life,triggering moral hazards,resulting in moral conflicts and legal problems.The ethical regulation of robot technology has become very necessary and urgent.We should vigorously promote the institutional construction of robotics technology development,improve relevant laws,strengthen institutional supervision,and construct robotics ethics.It is also very important to strengthen the moral restriction on intelligent robot technology designers.We can focus on cultivating the moral imagination of intelligent robot technological designers,stimulating the empathy and practical wisdom of intelligent robot designers,and integrating ethical principles and moral thinking into the design and production of robots.We need to also set up the concept of "human needs as the goal" in the research and development of robots,and always put human rights first in the research and development of robots,so as to enhance the consciousness of human subject status and moral responsibility.In a word,robots researchers and users should be regulated from a moral point of view,and robots should be restrained by a set of ethical norms generally accepted by human beings so that they can serve human beings to the greatest extent.
