Ruskin’s Artistic Creation And Art Education Thought Research

John Ruskin,"angel beauty","saint" of the Victorian era,he was a famous thinker and art critic as known when living in,his thought involved quite widely and caused extremely profound influence on many fields.And his artistic theory and aesthetic thought,an indispensable role for the study of art history in the 19 th century.Most of the research on Ruskin,regardless of their content tendency is promoting or dismissed,has extremely important prerequisites,which constitute the elements of Ruskin man should be noble and perfect,as a saint in above the ordinary.But should not be forgotten in the process of research is Ruskin before as a writer,thinker,art critic,he is a man living in the 19 th century,he had the joys and sorrows,and had a unique life experience,he was not only a rigorous theoretical formation and great achievements,in addition to interests,interpersonal communication will be noticeable influence on the formation of his thought.This article will be based on the painting sketch as Ruskin’s hobby and research tool,starting with three types of paintings,including research paintings,landscape paintings and copying works,to analyze and collate the artistic creation of Ruskin in various periods and the educational practice experience as a teacher,and to interpret Ruskin’s artistic and educational thoughts,including Ruskin’s attitude and method to copying in painting teaching.
