| With the continuous enhancement of China’s comprehensive national strength,the influence of "Chinese fever" has been expanding.At the same time,The NOCF has held the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Competition all over the world,among which the Chinese Competition for World College Students is the most concerned,and has now held seventeen sessions.For contestants,Chinese is their second language which will certainly give rise to some difficulties in the learning process.Therefore,how to expand teaching contents for Chinese learners and innovate in teaching methods is of great significance to the popularization of Chinese and the dissemination of Chinese culture.On this basis,videos of Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students held between 2016 and 2018 were chosen as research objects in this thesis.First of all,Chinese Bridge competitions were introduced,and questions adopted by the competitions were also expounded from several aspects of language knowledge,Chinese culture and China’s national conditions.Secondly,contestants’ performance in answering the questions about language knowledge and Chinese culture were analyzed and summarized,and common errors that contestants made in the competitions were deeply dissected from the perspectives of Chinese phonetics,vocabulary and grammar.Lastly,in view of above analysis results,following suggestions on improving the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language were summarized: firstly,Chinese learners should enhance pronunciation training and tone practicing,so as to improve their pronunciation and lay a solid foundation for further study;secondly,Chinese teachers should create application contexts through associative teaching,situational teaching and the teaching of synonyms and antonyms to strengthen learners’ understanding and use of Chinese vocabulary;thirdly,Chinese teachers are suggested to innovate in teaching modes based on grammar rules to stimulate learners’ interest,gradually gain confidence through training and improve grammatical comprehension to become “Chinese master”;fourthly,Chinese teachers should integrate extensive and profound Chinese culture into Chinese teaching to spread Chinese culture,so that learners can be exposed to Chinese culture and become true “Chinese master”.In the meantime,it is expected that Chinese Bridge competitions can provide more interesting and targeted materials to the editors of textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language to attract more foreigners to learn Chinese and spread Chinese to the whole world. |
