Study On The Expression Of Light And Shadow Elements In The Creation Oil Painting Of Female Portrait

Objective: light and shadow elements have always been an important painting language in the development of female portrait oil painting,playing the key roles of highlighting theme,creating artistic conceptions and expressing emotions.With the help of the theories and achievements made in study the of light and shadow elements in paintings and based on the analysis of the historical status and problems,this paper conducts the exploration into the practice of light and shadow elements in female portrait oil painting.Method: this paper summarizes the key role played in light and shadow elements in these works based on the analysis of Chinese and western classical female portrait oil painting works,and closely connects theories of light and shadow elements with female portrait oil painting practice so as to explore the possibility and significance of author’s own creation in practice.Conclusion: light and shadow elements are not only the basis of theoretical literature research that painting needs to attach great importance to,but also the indispensable expression language in painting practice.The use of light and shadow changes in modern female portrait oil painting creation can achieve better effect of object expression and exhibit the true emotions of an artist.
