| As an important social emotion of children,compassion always plays a vital role in the development of children’s sociality.The research shows that 4-5 years old is the key period for the development of children’s sympathy.During this period,children’s view-taking ability and social cognitive ability are rapidly improving,which is the key age for children to form good"theory of mind" ability.As children’s favorite game,role play has certain autonomy and voluntariness.Through experiencing and simulating the characters in the situation,children can perceive the emotions and emotions of the characters,promote their social development,and provide convenient conditions for the cultivation of compassion.Secondary class is the key period for children’s empathy training.In this study,two role play areas,Animal Food Restaurant and Love Hospital,were selected to cultivate children’s empathy,which meet the needs of children’s physical and mental development level and actual interests.Taking two parallel middle classes in a public kindergarten in Tianjin as the research object,20 children were randomly selected from each class as the experimental class and the control class.One week before the experiment,children in the experimental and control classes were pre-tested with the Children’s Empathy Teacher Assessment Questionnaire and three pre-test situational task experiments.In the formal experimental stage,the experimental class was given a role-playing activity of 35 minutes twice a week for six weeks,while the control class was given normal teaching activities such as picture book reading and situational discussion.One week after the completion of the training experiment,the development of children’s empathy in the experimental class and the control class was compared by using the Children’s Empathy Teacher Assessment Questionnaire,Situational TaskExperiment.Through the data analysis of the pre-and post-test of children’s sympathy in the experimental class and the control class,the conclusion is drawn as follows:1.Through the training activities of empathy,the overall level and dimensions of empathy of children in the experimental class have been greatly improved compared with those in the control class,which shows that the scheme of using role games to cultivate children’s empathy is feasible.2.The suitability of role-playing training strategy has a significant effect on the activity plan of empathy training for middle-class children.3.There are gender differences in the development of children’s sympathy in the middle class,which shows that girls are significantly higher than boys in the dimensions of role understanding,emotional understanding,psychological assistance and material assistance.Therefore,the gender differences of children should be fully considered in educational experiment activities.According to the results of the study,the following educational suggestions are put forward:1.Teachers should attach great importance to the cultivation of children’s sympathy in the form of role play.2.Clear role-playing compassion training objectives,focusing on the choice of activity theme;3.Teachers should create conditions for children’s role-playing and pay attention to individual guidance on children’s gender differences.4.The cultivation of children’s sympathy should permeate every link of their daily life. |
