As an interpreting practice from Chinese to English, this report describes one simulated simultaneous interpreting task conducted by the author on Yang Lan One On One--The Theory of Talent Relativity broadcasted on August 16,2017.Among the numerous domestic TV programs, the Yang Lan One On One,which is famed and successful in China, has received close attention and high praise from audience.Due to the limited space of the report, the author,as the interpreter, chooses speeches delivered by the three guests in this episode to discuss difficulties of simulated simultaneous interpreting and hopes to put forward some useful interpreting skills, including omission, conversion, syntactic linearity and so on.Furthermore, the report could be taken as a reference for other interpreting learners.Four chapters are included in this report. The first chapter is about background information and topic selection. The second chapter describes the preparation before interpretation, interpretation process and post-interpretation.The third chapter analyses difficulties affecting interpreting and the interpreting techniques. The fourth chapter makes summary of the interpreting process and puts forward some problems that need to be solved about interpreting in the future.Through the task description and analysis,it is found that in addition to adequate pre-interpretation preparation, interpreting strategies, the speaking styles and characteristics of the speech makers could be included in the process of interpreting.
