The rapid social and economic development has enabled an increasing number of people to travel domestically or abroad. In recent years, wildlife tourism has been sought after by more and more people.People regard it as a good choice for relaxation. However,in the development of wildlife tourism, our country has some deficiencies which make most people choose to travel abroad. Therefore,it is particularly important and urgent to translate books on wildlife tourism and absorb the experience of foreign countries. The author selects Chapter One "A Brief Consideration of the Nature of Wildlife Tourism",Chapter Four "Destination Marketing Approaches for Wildlife Tourism" and Chapter Five "Wildlife Tourism:Technology Adoption for Marketing and Conservation" from Wilderness of Wildlife Tourism as the targets of translation to discuss English to Chinese translation methods and strategies of informative texts under the guidance of Skopos theory. The translation report consists of four chapters.Chapter one introduces the source of the task, task features and task significance.Chapter two describes the translation process, including preparation before translation, translation procedure and quality control.Chapter three is the case analysis, which discusses the translation methods and strategies of selected text at the lexical, syntactic and discourse level. It analyzes how the principles of purpose, faithfulness and coherence are integrated into the practice of translation through examples.Chapter four shares reflections and experience learned from the translation and problems to be solved. When translating informative texts, the translator should combine translation methods and strategies to make the language of translation unobstructed under the guidance of Skopos theory. The translation provides valuable experience for domestic wildlife tourism.
