Exploration Of "New Sound" In Tan Dun's Works

Tan Dun is one of the representative composers of Chinese contemporary music and one of the most active Chinese composers in the international music scene.He has made great efforts and practices for the promotion and dissemination of traditional Chinese folk music at home and abroad.Tan Dun not only inherited the creative techniques of various schools of Western modern music in the 20 th century,but also invented many music that belonged to Chinese local characteristics.As the first students of the Conservatory of Music after the resumption of the college entrance examination,the enthusiasm of the Cultural Revolution for a long period of time was fully erupted at a time.They displayed their individuality,grasped their own learning and life,completely abandoned the old values,actively followed the modern life and modern music in the West,and became the first practitioners of Western pioneer music in China.Tan Dun's "new sound" works broke the previous music creation model and integrated Western modern music creation techniques with ancient Chinese culture.The traditional concept has undergone a subversive revolution in various aspects such as the tone of music,structure,noise and musical sounds,dissonance of harmony,the functions of stage musicians,and unconventional musical instruments.He inherited the musical concept of Johncage(1912-1992)that "life is music,music is life" and was influenced by the Book of Changes and Zen thoughts to create an independent organic music.It causes people to pay attention to nature and think about the gradual deterioration of the environment.His music can allow ancient and modern dialogues,allow people to talk to nature,and can organically integrate all kinds of primitive sounds such as wind,water,and stone tapping in nature into his musical works.His music has broken the boundaries of the world,nationality,region,and race,and has caused great attention to Chinese local music in the world.Although the music industry at home and abroad have different opinions on their works and creative ideas,almost no one in the Chinese music industry,like Tan Dun,has grasped the eyes of the world for 20 consecutive years with talent,personality,and continuous new works.And let the world enjoy the traditional Chinese music culture.This article consists of introduction,four chapters and conclusion.The author tries to make a detailed study of Tan Dun's creative ideas,the creation analysis of Pasakaria: The Secret Language of Wind and Bird,the presentation of sound,and the value and significance of his works,and combs the development of Tan Dun's "new sound" creation.context,At the same time,the analysis of "Pasakaria: The Secret Language of Wind and Bird" is a representative work,and it tries to analyze thoroughly.Finally,this paper summarizes the influence and value of Tan Dun's "new sound" creation on domestic and foreign music circles.
