A Report On The Simulated Interpretating Of Apple Special Event 2018-from The Perspective Of Effort Model

Since the first half of 2018,the trade war between America and China has intensified gradually.The disadvantage of lacking of intelligent chip enlightened all Chinese about the importance of innovation.If China wants to take a place in market competition,it needs to keep pace with the times and make innovation.As the giant in mobile phone industry-Apple,its latest technology is highly regarded.This report is written by simulating the whole process of Apple Special Event in2018.The author simulates the live video and compares the translation results with the official version.The major problems are mainly omitting information and mis-translation which are attributed to adjusting energy inappropriately.Therefore,the author applied Gile’s Effort Model to tackle this problem with syntactic linearity,simplification strategy and other related skills.In the last part,this report summarizes the limitation and proposes several ways for improvement.The significance of this report is that through the simulation of the latest scientific and technological materials,the author would be accustomed to these relevant steps of interpretation practice,forming a systematic and standardized practice process,and preparing for future interpreting work in related industries.Through the case analysis,from the surface to the centre,with the translation strategy,the application of the strategy would become an instinctive response,and also provides the translators who are trained in interpreting and works in this field a little reference.
