| Chinese characters are important writing symbols to record Chinese,and they are an indispensable part of Chinese learning.However,the complexity of Chinese characters has brought great difficulties to Chinese second language learners,especially those in the non-Chinese cultural circle.The difficulty of recognizing,memorizing and writing Chinese characters are a common problem.Therefore,the author will focus on the Chinese character recognition of Indonesian Chinese students,hoping to explore better skills and methods for students to "memorize" and "write" Chinese characters to lay a solid foundation.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part mainly summarizes the previous studies on Chinese character recognition.In order to seek more effective teaching methods and learning strategies,the predecessors mostly carried out research from two aspects: one is to analyze and carry out teaching research according to the characteristics of Chinese characters;the other is to take Chinese learners as the research object,to investigate the learner’learning situation of Chinese characters,so as to explore learning strategies and teaching methods.The second part elaborates the current situation of Indonesian Chinese character teaching and Chinese character recognition.It is found that Indonesian Chinese teachers do not attach enough importance to Chinese character teaching.Indonesian Chinese students generally have the phenomenon of "seeing characters without knowing their pronunciation and meaning".They also suffer from the interference of dialectal pronunciation and traditional fonts when recognizing Chinese characters.The difficulty of Chinese characters and the influence of Chinese family language environment are the main reasons for this phenomenon.The third part is a questionnaire survey on Chinese character recognition among Chinese Indonesian students.The results show that Chinese Indonesian students do not attach importance to Chinese character recognition and are afraid of difficulties.They do not systematically learn Chinese character components,and have unclear concepts of Chinese characters phonetic and semantic symbols,and do not know the structure of Chinese characters.The factors affecting the recognition of Chinese characters by Indonesian Chinese students are as follows: Indonesian Chinese students self-learning attitude is not correct enough and lack of systematic perceptiontraining of Chinese characters;Chinese teachers fail to actively and effectively guide students to understand the regularity of Chinese characters and rigid teaching forms;school authorities lack the rationality of Chinese curriculum arrangement,and the selected teaching materials can not adapt to the current Chinese teaching.According to the results of the questionnaire survey,the fourth part is about some teaching suggestions to improve the recognition rate of Indonesian Chinese characters:in the beginning,we should pay attention to the teaching of Chinese character components;second,we should adopt the method of induction and comparison,integrate and contrast the proximal characters and pronunciation proximal characters in Chinese characters,and strengthen the repetition rate of Chinese characters,and integrate and contrast the common simplified and traditional Chinese characters to correct the shape of Chinese characters;Thirdly,using context to design Chinese character teaching programs,training ability of reasonably guessing characters and familiarizing themselves with the characteristics of Chinese characters’ fonts;fourthly,through progressive phonetic training,Indonesian Chinese people gradually get rid of the interference of dialects on Chinese character ’pronunciation.The fifth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the contents,innovations and shortcomings of this study. |
