| With the growing international situation,China is playing an increasingly important role in the international arena,and the "Chinese fever" in the language world has continued to heat up.In order to keep pace with international development and keep up with the rhythm of modern international society,more and more Vietnamese people are beginning to learn Chinese.Hue University College of Foreign Languages in Vietnam has established a Chinese major since 1991.Since its inception,the school’s Chinese major has continued to grow and develop.This thesis focuses on the current situation of Chinese teaching in Hue University College of Foreign Languages in Vietnam.Through questionnaires,field observations and literature research,the curriculum,students,class structure,teachers,teaching materials,teaching activities inside and outside the classroom,Eight aspects of teaching equipment and international exchange of Chinese education were investigated.Through the research and analysis of the survey data,the problems in the Chinese teaching process of the school are found out,and suggestions for improvement are put forward.Through the investigation,the author found that the current Chinese teaching situation of the school mainly has the following problems:1.The Chinese-related curriculum is not reasonable enough.The school-scheduled study time is not suitable for the students’ Chinese level and the class time is less.2.Students’ enthusiasm for taking the HSK Examination is poor.The number of students who choose to study in China is small.The actual Chinese language learning motivation after enrollment is insufficient.3.The number of students in each class is more than the standard range of the number of students in Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training(20-25 people/class)and international language(10-15 people/class),and the majors of teachers and languages.The number of students is unevenly distributed.4.The number of Chinese teachers is scarce,and it is unstable and fluid.The proportion of male and female teachers is unbalanced.There are no Chinese teachers with senior titles such as associate professors and professors in the teaching staff.5.The textbooks used are varied and systematic,and there is no Chinese textbook specially written for the specific situation of Vietnamese students.6.The teaching methods are old and monotonous,the content of the course is of low interest,and the attraction of extracurricular activities is seriously insufficient.7.The teaching equipment is not complete,the update is not timely,and the classroom space is small.8.The international exchange and cooperation in Chinese education presents a single-sided and other characteristics and lacks a comprehensive and multi-channel cooperation approach.All in all,through the investigation of the current situation of Chinese teaching in Hue University College of Foreign Languages in Vietnam,to find out the problems,and to propose effective solutions to help the students learn Chinese more effectively,and provide some reference suggestions and opinions.At the same time,I hope that in the future management and development of the school,we will help improve the quality of teaching,improve the teaching system,and finally promote the further development of the quality of Chinese teaching,and catch up with the international level of Chinese teaching. |
