Chinese textbooks are the main medium for students to learn and teachers to teach,which play an auxiliary role in Chinese teaching.Presently,there are many kinds of Chinese auxiliary books and tricks,but the quality is intermingled and need to be checked,which will affect students’ understanding and application of new words.Primary students have a strong dependence on the annotation of new words,improper annotation will lead to pragmatic errors.Therefore,we should pay more attention to the annotation of new words in the compilation of TCSOL textbooks to ensure the accuracy and scientific of the annotation.So,it is necessary to study the annotation of new words in TCSOL textbooks.This research mainly adopt qualitative and quantitative methods,which generated the new words level,recurrence rate in Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Course Ⅰ,then analyzed the annotation models in the books.The study found the amount and level of new words are appropriate to primary Chinese learners,but there is a big gap in a single lesson and the recurrence rate is insufficient.Based on this,the study discussed the new words annotation and the main problems in the annotation,including improper annotation,low distinction,inconsistent classification of detachable words,insufficient pragmatic annotation,monolingual annotation,insufficient non-linguistic annotation and invalid annotation.Based on the analysis of the new words annotation models in TCSOL textbooks and the main problems,this study provides following suggestions for the compilation of new word annotation in TCSOL textbooks.In the process of compiling new words in TCSOL textbooks,it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of annotation,improve the differentiation of synonyms,unify the classification of detachable words,increase the proportion of pragmatic annotations,nationalization of the annotations,increase the proportion of non-verbal annotations,eliminate invalid annotations and realize effective annotations of new words.
