At present,there are many studies on learning engagement and parental rearing pattern,but there are few studies on the relationship between learning engagement and parenting expectations and parental rearing pattern of migrant junior high school students.In order to reveal the current situation of migrant junior high school students’ learning engagement,and to explore the relationship between family factors such as educational background,educational expectation and parental rearing style of migrant junior high school students ’parents and students’ individual learning engagement,in this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 1 300 junior middle school students in my workplace,the results showed that:(1)There is no difference between migrant junior high school students and non-migrant junior high school students in their learning engagement;(2)Migrant junior high school students ’learning engagement is related to their parents’ educational background,the higher their parents’ educational background is,the higher their learning engagement is;(3)Parents’ educational expectations directly affect the level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students.The higher the educational expectation of parents,the higher the learning engagement of migrant junior high school students;(4)Parental rearing style affects thelevel of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students.When parents adopt the parenting style with warm emotion and understanding,the higher the level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students.Through analysis and discussion,the following conclusions are drawn:Conclusion 1: There is a positive correlation between migrant junior high school students’ learning engagement and their parents’ educational expectations,parents’ educational expectations can predict the level of migrant junior high school students’ learning engagement.The higher the parents’ reasonable educational expectation for their children,the higher the level of learning input of migrant junior high school students correspondingly.Conclusion 2: The level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students is related to the parental rearing style,which can predict the level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students.Parents’ parenting style with warm emotion and understanding are helpful to improve the level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students,however,mothers refusing to deny that the level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students is related to the level of emotional engagement of students will reduce the level of learning engagement of migrant junior high school students.
