| Humor is an important linguistic phenomenon as well as a very practical teaching method.However,there are few studies on the combination of humorous language and Chinese as a second language teaching.Therefore,this paper quotes the concept of teacher’s humorous language,which is referred to as HID in foreign Humorous Instructor Discourse.This paper explores the use of teacher’s humorous language in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and enriches the theory of teacher’s language in the classroom of Chinese international education.This paper mainly summarizes the previous studies on the definition of humorous language,the application of humorous language in education and Chinese international education.By listening to the classroom teaching of teachers of Confucius Institute and local Chinese schools in Betong,Thailand.Recording the teacher’s humorous language used in the teaching process.By means of questionnaire and statistical analysis,it is concluded that the use of teacher’s humorous discourse in TCSL classroom is very limited,and most of the use of teacher’s humorous discourse is improvised without special preparation before class.This thesis consists of six chapters:The first chapter is introduction.This paper mainly elaborates the reasons for choosing this topic,the purpose and significance of writing,and the current situation and development trend of the application of humorous language in classroom.And exploring the relationship between the ability to appreciate humorous language and age,the relationship between the frequency of using humorous language and gender,and the relationship between teachers’ sense of humor and students’ classroom participation.The second chapter mainly elaborates the definition of humor,the theory of humor,the types of humorous language and the ways of expression.Chapter three mainly discusses the practical application of teacher’s humorous language in humor theory,types of teacher’s humorous language and ways of expression by means of case analysis.Chapters four is about the application of teacher’s humorous language and the investigation and result analysis of students ’response to humorous language.From different perspectives such as classroom effect,teachers and students,this paper analyses the application effect of humorous language in classroom teaching process.Chapter five and six are a summary of the positive impact of the application of humorous language in teaching and puts forward relevant suggestions for Chinese teachers to use humorous language in classroom teaching. |
