Application And Research Of Chinese Traditional Patterns In Digital Illustration

Dr.Di Yongjun of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences mentioned in his series of prose lectures on "Chinese traditional culture" that the phenomenon of "traditional culture fever" appeared in recent years because the strength of a nation depends not only on economy,military and politics,but also,more importantly,on the traditional culture of a nation.Chinese traditional patterns have played a particularly important role in people’s lives since ancient times.Because of this,Chinese traditional patterns are full of strong national flavor,which is the inheritance of the Chinese nation’s thousand-year history and civilization and the strong color of traditional culture.In today’s digital era,digital illustration has brought new visual concepts to people,and the prosperity of modern illustration market has brought tremendous impact to traditional illustration.In recent years,the nationalization of digital illustration has always been a hot topic for designers.Starting from the traditional pattern,this paper first gives a brief introduction to the concept and aesthetic analysis of the traditional pattern,then analyses the general situation of the development of digital illustration in China,the advantages and value of digital illustration,and the problems existing in the current development of digital illustration.Focusing on the exploratory development of traditional Chinese patterns in digital illustration,this paper analyses the development status and manifestations of traditional Chinese patterns in the field of digital illustration with case studies,and then explores the reference methods of traditional patterns in digital illustration from the aspects of traditional colors,shapes and meanings.Finally,through my understanding and interpretation of traditional Chinese patterns,the results of theoretical research are exploratorily applied through graduation design practice.
