Research On Water Image In Wong Kar-wai's Films

In poetry,the month,water,fire,etc often take the form of literary images.In particular,water,as an image that has been used for a long time but still full of vigor and vitality,can properly express the various creative intentions that the creator wants to express.The creator adds his own subjective thoughts to the objective image of water,realizing the pursuit of different emotions and implications.This paper will draw on the existing research on water image in poetry to focus on its application and interpretation in films.This paper takes the water image presented in director Wong Kar-wai's films and television works as the object of discussion,and adopts literature analysis method,comparative research method and text close reading method for research and creation,to explore the aesthetic characteristics of water image and poetic implication in the image as a medium to express the voice of the film and television works and significance.In this thesis,the author first introduces a simple concept of image,and summarizes the aesthetic connotation of water image in poetry,in order to explore the possibility and necessity of using water image as the object of discussion to study film and television works.So I paid attention to the image of the original poetic water,which can also be used well in the film.On this basis,the author,from the perspective of personality,interprets a number of film and television works created by Wong Kar-wai,and discusses the role of water image in the alienation and closeness,rejection and acceptance,and forgetfulness and remembrance,which are the consistent themes in his films,the promotion of water image in Wong Kar-wai's films to the plot and the expression of water image to the characters in Wong Kar-wai's films.Finally,on the basis of the first two,three and four chapters,the paper explores the means of water image in Wang Kar-wai's films,and sets the way of water image in the audiovisual language.The author hopes that the above new perspective can make up for the inadequacies of the existing research results,and let Wong Kar-wai's films have a more comprehensive interpretation,and at the same time discover the new vitality of water image in Chinese classical poetry,and hope to give later Researchers must play a role in learning.
