A Comparative Study On The Image Of "Water" In Liszt’s "The Fountain Of Tester Manor" And Ravel’s "The Play Of Water"

Water is one of the basic elements for the survival of various species of life,it gave birth to the world’s various forms of species of life,for the natural,social and human development to provide a variety of USES and functions.With its artistic form and vigorous vitality,"water" has become the source of inspiration for the artistic creation of writers,artists and musicians.For example,in the field of music and art,composers in different periods and countries have created works with the theme of"water",creating a large number of works with the theme of "water".The musical genre involves symphonies,small solo music and art songs.From the 9-10 century Pope Gregory music creation,about the beginning of the "water" composing skills to explore to Handel baroque period "water music",and then to the romantic period of Chopin’s "the goddess of the paddle,Mendelssohn’s" boat song "and Liszt’s The Fountains of the Villa d’Este,to the impressionist style ravel" water play "and Debussy’s garden in the rain","" the water reflection" to "water" the development of the artistic conception expression skills fully,makes the creation of the "water" technique and performance skills in the 19th-the turn of the 20 th century has reached the peak.This article selects liszt ravel the two composers,for the same "water" theme of piano works--The Fountains of the Villa d’Este and the play of water as the research object,through the analysis of the music language,playing techniques,comparative study on the connection between the two works,fundamentally understand both composers for "water" theme,the similarities and differences between the "water" image creation.The thesis will consist of an introduction and four chapters.The introduction is a statement of the topic,intention,literature review and research methods.The first chapter is the overview part,which mainly discusses the relationship between liszt and impressionism,liszt’s late piano works creation style,creation technique and impressionism music style,and briefly introduces the two works studied in this paper.The second chapter analyzes the musical language of the two works in terms of structure,theme,harmony and texture techniques,and analyzes the image of "water" depicted in the two works from the perspective of creationtechniques.The third chapter is the analysis of the main points of performance of the two works,including touching keys,strength and speed,pedal control and other aspects of performance.From the perspective of the player,it discusses how to imagine the image of "water" and how to reasonably use the carrier of piano to shape various images of "water".The fourth chapter is a comprehensive comparison of the two works,summarizing and summarizing the similarities and differences and influences of the two works in the aspects of ideology,creation style,performance style,music image and theme.In this paper,through using the method of music analysis,comparative study,The Fountains of the Villa d’Este and the water play,"" water" image of comparison research,expect to a deeper understanding of the two same "water" theme is the connection between the piano works,to improve the understanding of the work itself and thus provide intentionally after playing and teaching reference and enlightenment.
