Research On The Application Of Narrative Perspective In Special Character Documentary

Character documentaries generally reveal physical features and mental attitude of characters through video art while special person documentaries,as a subdivision category of character documentaries,focus on the characters engaged in special occupations or those who have special experiences.In this way,the value of social and cultural environment derived from those occupations or events is worthy of researching.Narrative perspective,as a term in the field of narratology,is divided into three forms by Torodov:omniscient perspective,internal perspective and external perspective.This article sorts out the classification of character documentaries,the categories of special character documentaries as well as the classification and features of narrative perspectives.As to the research methods,the author uses documentary research,case analysis and comparative analysis.Based on narratology and documentary history and combined with her graduate work,this paper analyzes expressive effect of special character documentaries under different narrative perspectives,and provides reference for application of narrative perspective in special character documentaries.
