Bonnard is an accomplished artist in modern art.His painting style is influenced by many art schools and art theories,so it forms an art form with the common aesthetic features of the east and the west.His paintings are characterized by images.The author explores the sources and ways of images in bonnard’s paintings from the perspective of eastern and western aesthetics.Bonnard was influenced by symbolism,but the philosophical basis of symbolism is intuitionism,so bonnard is called an intuitionistic painter.In addition,bonnard found a niche in eastern art through his direct research and indirect influence on the previous artists Cezanne,monet,gauguin and van gogh.This topic is mainly divided into three aspects:First,the introduction part contains the current situation of the research,the purpose and significance of the topic selection,the innovation points of the research,the problems solved and the contents.Second,this paper mainly studies the image in bonnard’s painting from three aspects:the source of the image,the embodiment of the image and the practical significance of the image research.The third chapter,as the core of the subject,makes a specific analysis from the perspectives of light color,brush strokes,human body,space,composition and modeling.Third,make a summary to the full text,show the shortcomings of this topic.
