This article mainly studies the problems and optimization methods in the design and application of high school English guided learning plan.The plan is a learning plan based on the new English curriculum standards and the students’ learning level.The purpose is to cultivate students’ independent learning ability and innovative spirit,and to guide students study,cooperate and explore actively.At present,research in the early stage shows that guided learning plan has a good effect on student learning,and it is accepted by many teachers and student.As it is widely used,the question that comes with it is whether the quality can be guaranteed?Does it work?In recent years,in order to improve teaching efficiency,many teachers are designing guided learning plan to promote their English reading teaching.However,the current application of guided learning plan in English reading courses lacks continuity,systematicness and pertinence.The author of this article attempts to design and optimize a set of high school English guided learning plans based on certain learning goals,reading materials,and constructivist learning theory,and applies them to teaching practice and conducts a semester of empirical research.There are three main research questions:1.How should teachers design high school English reading lesson plans under the guidance of constructivism?2.How does the optimization of the design and application of guided learning plan play a role in increasing students’ interest in learning?3.What is the overall effect of the design and optimization of guided learning plan on improving the English reading ability and effect of high school students?This research is based on constructivist learning theory and is student-centered.It focuses on the design of guided learning plan problems and how to optimize the use of guided learning plan studies.It also studies how to improve students’English learning performance and effects,while focusing on students’ emotions,increase in interest and ability.This study was conducted in experimental classes of equivalent grade one.One class used the optimized guided learning plan and the other half used the original guided learning plan.Through a long-term experiment,the author found some important findings through testing and observation.Some of them are as follows:1.When designing guided learning plan,teachers should learn more theoretical knowledge and combine with the actual situation of students.2.The optimized guided learning plan has greatly improved students’ learning interest and reading ability.3.Students in the experimental class have greatly improved their English reading ability,understanding ability,and problem-solving ability.At the same tim e,although the application of the optimized guided learning plan increases the workload of teachers before class,it helps teachers reduce the burden on the class,and makes high school English reading course more interesting,more targeted,and more systematic.It’s improved the efficiency of English reading lessons In short,the application of guided learning plan in English can help solve the problems faced by teachers and students.Since this study lasts only one semester,it has certain limitations,and the optimization plan for the preparation and application of the study guide needs to be further studied and revised.
