Quantifiers are a special kind of words in Chinese and have always been the focus and difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this paper,the high-frequency quantifiers "zhi","pi","tiao",and "tou",which are paired with animal nouns in quantifiers,are selected as the research objects,and the collocation between them and atypical animals is studied by means of online questionnaires,in the hope of understanding the cognitive process of second language learners and inspiring the teaching of second language.This paper is divided into five parts,the first part is the introduction,including the research source,research content,research significance,and research review;The second part is the origin of "zhi","pi","tiao" and "tou".It summarizes the semantic characteristics of quantifiers by summarizing the animals measured by each quantifier in the process of dynasty change;The third part is the analysis of the basic situation of the questionnaire and the animals designed in the questionnaire include typical animals and atypical animals,which directly shows the differences between the quantifiers selected by Chinese as a second language and Chinese as a native language learners through the data;The fourth part is to analyse the cognitive basis that second language learners choose different quantifiers to measure animals and influence factors basing on cognitive linguistic;The fifth part are the teaching suggestions;the sixth part is the conclusion,mainly summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the article.
