Stylistic Characteristics And Technical Analysis Of Saxophone’s Work "Four Pictures From New York"

The author in this article,roberto Molly composed in the Four pictures from New York "as the research object,this song is roberto Molly in 2001,inspired by the big apple(New York)written for saxophone and orchestra this concerto,this piece of work fully embodies the characteristics of playing the saxophone in all kinds of style,is also one of the representative of modern sax works.In this paper,the author mainly studies the creation of the composer’s background and work background,the style of work and the different of the saxophone in the application of different style and selection,combined with their own playing experience,some of the involved in this music playing techniques were discussed,such as ultra-high range play and glides,vibrato,tk technique,the combination of the saxophone jazz improvisation skills,play jazz rhythm of skills.I hope this paper can provide some references for the later performers to play this work.
