English writing occupies a certain proportion in the senior high school English test and it also runs through the whole process of English teaching,it is an examination of students’ comprehensive ability of English learning.However,under the traditional English writing teaching mode,there are still some problems in senior high school students’ English writing,such as English writing anxiety,emphasis on teaching rather than learning,negative transfer of mother tongue,and low interest in writing and the present situation of English writing is not optimistic.The flipped classroom based on the cooperative teaching theory and focuses on building a new teaching mode which is relying on the information technology,it has been recognized by many scholars,teachers and students.However,the implementation of flipped classroom needs the support of a perfect education platform.Therefore,this study introduces the flipped classroom teaching mode into senior high school English writing teaching,and uses Moodle platform,one of the most widely used education platforms in the world,as a network bridge.This teaching platform is a free and open-source interactive platform,and provides a strong guarantee for the success of flipped classroom with its unique functions and characteristics.In this study,109 students from two parallel classes in grade two of a senior high school in Harbin were selected as the subjects.The following three questions were mainly studied.First,is it feasible to apply the flipped classroom teaching model based on Moodle platform in senior high school English writing teaching? Second,how to apply the flipped classroom teaching mode based on Moodle platform to senior high school English writing teaching? Third,how does the flipped classroom teaching mode based on Moodle platform affect senior high school students’ English writing performance?First of all,before the study,the teachers and students of the two classes and other teachers of the same year were interviewed on paper,which can understand the feasibility of applying the flipped classroom teaching mode based on Moodle platform in senior high school English writing teaching.Secondly,based on the hybrid research method and combined with Zhang Jinlei’s flipped classroom teaching mode,the flipped classroom teaching mode based on Moodle platform was applied to senior high school English Writing Teaching for specific design,and the teaching implementation was summarized into three-stages and seventeen steps.Finally,SPSS software was used to compare the four English writing tests of the two classes,which can verify the impact of the flipped classroom teaching mode based on Moodle platform on senior high school students’ English writing performance.After 16 weeks of teaching research,the author combined the SPSS data analysis results,post-test questionnaires and interview results to draw the conclusion that the flipped classroom teaching mode based on Moodle platform is feasible in senior high school English writing teaching,which not only improves students’ English writing performance,but also stimulates students’ interest in English writing and improves students’ English writing ability.It enhances students’ awareness of cooperative learning and self-learning efficiency,which also improves teachers’ English writing teaching quality.Finally,the author reflects on the shortcomings and limitations of this study,and puts forward corresponding suggestions,hoping to provide reference for the follow-up research.
