A Study On Supervision System In The Period Of Emperor Wudi Of Han Dynasty

The ancient Chinese supervisory system developed comprehensively during the reign of Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty and had a great influence on the whole imperial era.The development of the supervision system helped to adjust the ruling order,strengthen the centralization of power and ease the social contradictions,and directly affected the construction of the supervision system in later dynasties.By disgussing the origin of the administrative supervision system,system composition,operating mechanism,characteristics and the impact during the reign of Emperor Wudi,the ancient Chinese supervisory system is always in the reform of the monarch under the authoritarian rule,and can’t get rid of the inherent limitations.The monitoring system will also be greatly affected by the central policy,the reigning monarch and dynastic change.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part summarizes the development and evolution of the supervision system.On the basis of sorting out the development of the supervision system before Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty,the development of the supervision system in different historical periods is understood.The second part,on the one hand,on the basis of preliminary clarify emperor period historical background,on the other hand,comprehensive systematically organize the various aspects of supervisory system construction which were gradually improved during the period of emperor han wudi,including the suggestion of the central government level supervisory,the prime minister,China and the DPRK monitoring and supervisory system,the ancient nationalities in the secretariat of the supervision of the local level with the chief belonging to the supervisory system construction of county officials,as well as setting up the army military empire,the central government to the local direct patrol,the secretariatof the subordinate county of temporary tour and a series of system construction and the measures of implementation.The third part is mainly to analyze the four characteristics of the supervision system in the period of Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty: diversified supervision organs,subordinate weight of supervision officials,mutual checks and balances of supervision powers,flexible and diversified supervision methods.Finally,the fourth part has a rounded analysis on the construction of the supervision system during the Reign of Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty and the historical influence of the measures to improve the supervision system.
