The State of Qatar located at the east of the Arabian Peninsula is a slender peninsula that extends towards the Persian Gulf.Qatar has a small territory and a sparse population, but its level of the modernization development has improved greatly, and has made certain achievements in economy, politics, culture, diplomacy and other aspects.During the "Arab Spring" in the Middle East in 2010,Qatar not only did not suffer the same serious political storm as Syria,Iraq and other Arab countries, but also expanded its diplomatic influence while ensuring the stability of the country, which is closely related to the important reform carried out by Hamad. The political reform implemented by Hamad has promoted the political liberalization of Qatar by improving the political institutions, formulating and implementing the constitution, reforming family politics and improving the channels of public expression; The economic and social reform implemented by Hamad has promoted Qatar’s economic diversification and the prosperity of its social culture by building industrial modernization, developing industrial diversification, investing in the knowledge economy and encouraging the development of cultural economy.Hamad’s reform measures have enabled Qatar to achieve rapid development, but at the same time,Hamad’s reform measures also have many defects.Politically,Qatar has not bulit a mature civil society, the implementation of the democracy is still limited, and the country is still in the development stage of the authoritarianism.Economically,it has not solved the “Rentier problem”,and the economic development is not balanced. In addition,at the end of Hamad’s rule,Qatar’s liberalization reform has stagnated, and more deep-seated social problems have emerged in this period, and gradually pose a threat to Qatar.
