Nowadays,autonomous learning has become a hot issue in education.It has inherent advantages in improving students’ learning efficiency,changing the status of traditional teaching and guiding students’ long-term development.At present,many countries and regions,including the developed ones,have widely used this kind of teaching skill and established the corresponding learning strategies and educational theories,which has achieved remarkable effects on teaching.As for the English teaching in senior high school,the key to the implementation of New Curriculum Standards lies in the enthusiasm of students,that is,raising students’ awareness of autonomous learning.What the curriculum reform demands is how to effectively carry out autonomous learning and apply it to English classroom teaching,which is also the fundamental demand of people.Based on the requirements of the New Curriculum Standards,it is believed that micro-course resources are the best “helper” for autonomous learning.Students can better carry out autonomous learning with micro-course as the medium and tool.Therefore,this study will explore the role of micro courses in high school English teaching,so that teachers can have a more profound and objective understanding of autonomous learning,and make it convenient for students to use it to strengthen English learning and improve learning efficiency.By referring to relevant literature,this study summarizes the relevant concepts and theoretical basis of English autonomous learning in senior high school.Taking Leyu Senior High School in Leyu City,Jiangsu Province as the case,this paper mainly adopts the quantitative research method,collects data by issuing questionnaires and analyzes them.To be specific,this paper first discusses the importance of autonomous learning in English teaching and the feasibility and effectiveness of using micro-course resources in the process.Combined with the research results of previous scholars,this paper summarizes the research ideas and space of this paper,which lays the foundation for further discussion in the following paper.Besides,from the perspective of Leyu Senior High School,it introduces the general situation of the school,its English teaching and the guidance of teachers’ autonomous learning.This paper focuses on the first-grade students who have just entered the senior high school.Combined with the specific questionnaire survey,it understands the current situation of students’ autonomous learning and analyzes the relevant problems in students’ English autonomous learning as well as teachers’ teaching and guidance.Finally,based on the problems related to guiding students’ English autonomous learning in Leyu Senior High School,the corresponding improvement strategies are proposed.With micro-course resources as the core,the design and implementation of English autonomous learning model based on micro-course is carried out and the effectiveness of the model is analyzed based on specific data.In order to test whether this strategy is feasible and scientific,the author conducted a year-long investigation and research.Based on the analysis of the current situation of students’ autonomous learning,this paper takes the first-grade students in Leyu Senior High School in Jiangsu as the research object.Combined with the specific questionnaire,the research finds that the students’ English autonomous learning ability is generally poor,with weak self-control ability and low initiative,thus leading to low efficiency of autonomous learning.As to the teachers’ autonomous learning guidance,it is found that there are still some problems in the process of teaching guidance for middle school teachers,such as single mode and passive students in class.With the help of micro-course teaching strategy,the author aims to help students improve their English autonomous learning ability.Research shows that micro-courses can be effectively combined with daily English teaching to explore a new model of high school English teaching,thus attracting students’ interests in English learning and cultivating students’ language ability.With the help of micro-course resources,this study actively explores the problems existing in senior high school English autonomous learning by building an English autonomous learning system.However,due to the short experiment period and small sample size,the study still has certain limitations.It is hoped that future studies can be improved and perfected.
