| The constant reform of the college entrance examination system and the deepening of the English teaching concept make English teachers in Senior High School face greater challenges.Only by establishing the concept of lifelong learning can English teachers constantly improve their knowledge reserve to promote professional development.Compared with formal learning,which is passive and "training-style",informal learning which is more flexible and independent can stimulate teachers’ initiative and enthusiasm in learning and better meet the needs of teachers’ professional development.At the same time,due to the rapid development of mobile Internet and the popularity of mobile devices,mobile learning has brought people’s informal learning into a new era with the explosion of information from the Internet.Therefore,the author puts the informal learning of teachers in the context of mobile Internet and investigates the current situation of informal learning of English teachers from Senior High School.By studying collecting relevant literature on informal learning,mobile Internet and mobile learning,this paper aims to understand the research status at home and abroad and clarify the connotation of mobile Internet,informal learning and teachers’ informal learning.with the aid of social learning theory,self-directed learning theory,situated learning theory and life-long learning theory,through the form of questionnaire and individual interview,the paper tends to have a good understanding of the present situation of English teachers’ informal learning in the mobile Internet environment.The questionnaire is organized on the dimensions of some key aspects of teachers’ learning behavior.With the aid of SPSS,data found from the survey suggest that English teachers widely participate in informal learning through mobile network and the mobile Internet provides a variety of resource for teachers to do informal learning.However,the learning atmosphere is supposed to improve.Teachers’ ability of network learning needs to be developed.Worse still,there exist hidden security dangers on the network.All of them lead to problems having a side influence on teachers’ informal learning.At the same time,schools lack the management of teachers’ informal learning,and teachers’ informal learning lacks the necessary system guarantee.In view of the problems above,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions in order to promote the informal learning of English teachers under the mobile Internet environment. |
