Purpose:to investigate the mediating effect of emotional regulation strategies on the relationship between body imagery and social anxiety.Method:the multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire,the Emotional Regulation Strategy Scale,and the Social Interaction AnxietyScale were used to investigate 617 adolescents,Data description and correlation analysis were performed using data statistics software.Result:(1)there is a significant social anxiety problem in adolescent group;(2)in adolescent group,body imagery is significantly related to emotional regulation strategies;(3)in Han adolescent group,emotional regulation strategies generate suppressing effect between body imagery and social anxiety;In the nomadic group,expression inhibition plays a mediating role in the relationship between body imagery and social anxiety.Conclusion:because the suppressing effect is a generalized mediating effect,we conclude that,whether in the Han or nomadic groups,emotional regulation strategies have the mediating effect on the relationship between body imagery and social anxiety.Based on this,we can intervene from individual emotional regulation strategies and individual perceptions of the body to reduce the social anxiety of adolescents.
