| When left-behind children are separated from their parents for a long time,there are many problems in their physical and mental health,such as low sense of self-worth,poor social ability and so on.Therefore,it is very urgent and necessary to study the peer relationship,self-acceptance level and the relationship between them,and improve the peer relationship and self-acceptance level of left-behind students.This study combines two types of investigation and intervention research: research I uses the self-Acceptance Questionnaire(SAQ)compiled by Congzhong and Gao Wenfeng(1999)and the student peer relationship scale compiled by Asher(1984)to investigate the current situation of peer relationship and self-acceptance level of 881 left-behind middle school students in three middle schools in Hebei Province,and analyzes the peer relationship and self-acceptance level of left-behind middle school students;In the second study,group counseling was used to improve the peer relationship of left behind-middle school students to further improve their self-acceptance level.Through the study,we found that:Conclusion of study 1:1.Compared with non-left behind middle school students,left behind middle school students have poor peer relationship,low level of self-acceptance,and the difference is significant.2.There are significant differences in self-acceptance degree of left behind middle school students with different genders.Boys have better self-acceptance degree than girls,but there is no difference in peer relationship.The left behind middle school students who hold the post of class cadres are more popular with their peers than those who do not hold the post of class cadres.The left behind middle school students with higher learning level have higher peer relationship and self-acceptance level than that of the middle school students.The students left behind in grade three have deeper loneliness than those in grade one,and the difference is significant.The more frequent the parents go home,the better the peer relationship of the left behind middle school students is.The more frequently they contacttheir parents,the better their peer relationship and self-acceptance level are.3.The peer relationship of left behind middle school students is significantly related to the level of self-acceptance,and its peer relationship has a significant predictive effect on the level of self-acceptance.Conclusion of study 2:1.The implementation of group counseling can effectively improve the peer relationship of left-behind middle school students.2.Through the implementation of group counseling that improves the peer relationship of left-behind middle school students,it can effectively improve their self-acceptance level. |
