Impression of Peking Opera, written in 2005,is a work for the pipa and national orchestra. The work pays attention to the atonal and differential melody and the fixed rhythm of drums and gongs in the opera,as well as the exploration of the new timbre and the combination of different timbre by chance, which makes the whole song full of modern flavor while maintaining the national style, and reflects the new style of ethnic orchestral creation in the 21 st century. The thesis consists of three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction part mainly introduces the basis of topic selection, research significance and research status at home and abroad. The text is divided into five movements. The first movement mainly expounds the background of the creation of the work, the second movement mainly expounds the basic "color" of the orchestra, which constitutes the sound, and the audio resources. The third movement mainly studies the texture, which is the "dominant" factor of the orchestral sound, and studies the morphological characteristics. The fourth movement mainly studies the "recessive" factors of acoustics--the timbre of texture and its development and combination. The fifth movement mainly analyzes the combination of composition structure and orchestration layout. The epilogue summarizes the composer’s orchestration skills and style based on the above contents, expounds the idea of the work, and puts forward my own views on the work and thoughts on contemporary Chinese music creation.
