A Study On The Phonetics Of Sichuan Xuanhan Dialect

Xuanhan county is located in the eastern part of Sichuan Province,it belongs to Dazhou City.It is adjacent to Chengkou in the East,Kaijiang in the south,Daxian in the west,Wanyuan in the north.It is at the border of Sichuan,Shanxi,Hubei,and Chongqing.The transportation is very convenient.The Xuanhan dialect belongs to Chengdu-Chongqing area of the southwestern Mandarin.Although it has the dialect characteristics of Chengdu-Chongqing area,it still has its own characteristics.From the existing research of scholars,although the research of Xuanhan dialect has made gratifying achievements and has irreplaceable academic reference value,there is no denying that the research of Xuanhan dialect is not systematic in general and has certain limitations.This paper takes Xuanhan dialect as the research object,and uses linguistics,dialectics and other related theories to take a field survey and comparative analysis to systematically describe the Xuanhan dialect's phonetic system and analyze its phonetic characteristics and phonetic change phenomenon.On this basis,the diachronic comparison with the ancient Chinese phonetics,and the synchronic comparison with Wanyuan and Chengdu dialects are also aimed at revealing the evolution of Xuanhan dialects,and then exploring the basic reasons for the formation of Xuanhan dialects.According to the survey,the phonetic system of Xuanhan dialect is simple,with 19 initials(including zero initials),including one voiced initials [z],all of which are cleared,and follow the rules of flat aspirating and snoring aspirating,and no nasal consonants [n].37 vowels(including [?]),all of which are complete,without rhyme endings,no nasal vowels [??],[i?];4 tones,divided into Yin and Yang,The entering tone disappeared,mainly due to the Yang.Through further analysis and research,it is found that the factors that formed the Xuanhan dialect are not simple.It is affected by factors such as immigrants,geographical environment,and local dialects.In short,whether it is the influence of immigrants,surrounding dialects,or Mandarin,or geographical environment,or indigenous dialects.These are the basic factors that form the multilayered features of Xuanhan dialects today.Therefore,studying Xuanhan dialect is not only necessary,but also of great significance.
