Jinkeng Shaowu is located in the northwest of Fujian which is also located in the border between Fujian and Jiangxi province. This mountainous area dialect is mixed up with the characteristic of Min dialect and the Hakka Gan language.Jinkeng dialect is one of the Shaowu dialects and the investigation of Jinkeng dialect can not only save Jinkeng dialect voice by words' form but also enrich the study of Shaowu dialect in a certain extent. The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze the phonetic aspects of Jinkeng dialect, which is mainly from the following four aspects.Firstly, through the field investigation recording Jinkeng speech pronunciation, sorting Jinkeng dialect phonetic,it can be discovered that there are 19 initials(including Certonia),86 vowels,8 tones of Jinkeng dialect speech line. Also it sums up the rules of the rhyme and tone of Jinkeng dialect. From the point of syllable structure, the paper induces the 7 kinds of colloquial and literary pronunciation of Jinkeng dialect, which include initials variant type, vowel variant type, tonal variant type, rhyme variant type, initial tone variant type, vowel tone variant type and rhyme and intonation variant type.Secondly, the phonological features of Jinkeng dialect are found in the comparison between Jinkeng dialect and the medieval phonology. In terms of initial consonant, when the whole turbidity of the initials become stops or affricates, most of the words are into the aspirated voiceless initials and then a small number of them are not aspirated voiceless consonants. The“TOU(?)”and“DING(?)”initials are read as clear fricative initials[x].The initial consonants of“ZHI(?)group”and“ZHANG(?)group”are opposite to“JING(?)group”and“ZHUANG(?)group”initials, and partial“JING(?)group”and“ZHUANG(?)group”initials have become plosives.Closing mouth initials of“XIAO(?)group”confuse with“FEI(?)group's”initials. In terms of vowel,Jinkeng dialect Shan-she(??)level tone of first-class vowels of velar and guttural are separate from its of dentolingual.Opening mouth of Dang-she(??)firet-class Tang(?)vowels confuse with opening mouth of Jiang-she(??)second-class Jiang(?)vowels. The finals retain“Yang(?)tail vowel”[-m-n-?]and“Ru(?)tail vowel”is resd as glottal stop[-?]mostly also parts of the entering tone disappeared which is read as Yin Rhyme. Also some level tones are read as glottal stop[-?]nowadays.In terms of tone, the level tone is divided into dark and light.Small parts of rising tone with subturbidity-voiced initials and rising tone with clear-voiced initials merge into rising tone, large parts of rising tone with subturbidity-voiced initials merges into light entering tones, and rising tone with fullturbidity-voiced initials merges into light falling tone.Falling tone with clear-voiced initials merges into dark falling tone while falling tone with turbidity-voiced initials merges into light falling tone.Entering tone with clear-voiced initials merges into dark entering tone while very few parts of its merge into other tone and entering tone with turbidity-voiced initials merges into light entering tone. Then, the paper makes a comparative study on the internal differences between the Jinkeng dialect,Chengguan dialect and Heping speech in Shaowu from the three aspects of sound, rhyme and tune. From the perspective of theoretical analysis, the similarity between Jinkeng dialect and Heping dialect is comparatively large. In the last, through the comparision of Min dialect and Hakka Gan dialect with Jinkeng phonetics respectively,it can be seen that the Jinkeng dialect is the most similar to Gan dialect, and the second is Min dialect, while there are some characteristics between Jinkeng dialect and the Hakka language, but the Hakka language has no great influence on the Jinkeng dialect.
