| Because of the shackles of Confucian ethics, women have always been in a weak position in society. After the founding of new China,a series of institutional construction to protect women’s rights and interests, especially the promulgation and implementation of the marriage law in 1950,fundamentally improved the status of women.Taking liaoyuan coal mine as an example, this paper explores the real changes of women’s lives in the area before and after the promulgation of marriage law in 1950.The purpose of this paper is that after the implementation of the new marriage law in liaoyuan coal mine,it mainly investigates the changes of women’s freedom of marriage, engaging in production construction, participating in political and cultural life, and analyzes the reasons. The improvement of women’s status in liaoyuan coal mine has important practical significance.First,it reflects the original intention and mission of the Chinese communists to carry out the socialist democratic reform.Secondly, women began to be active in the social arena, which promoted the development of women’s social personality. Finally,it stimulates the enthusiasm of women to participate in the production and construction of coal mines. This paper tries to study the basic situation, marital status and social life of women in liaoyuan coal mine, and reveal the life of workers’ family members in state-owned enterprises in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In this way,we can not only understand the changes in People’s Daily life at that time, but also deeply understand the process of social changes in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and more clearly see the changes of women in such a big background--the improvement of women’s rights and social status. |
