Study On Dissemination Of "Twenty-four Stories Of Filial Piety"

"Twenty-four stories of filial piety" are legendary stories of typical filial piety figures in ancient China.It has a history of more than two thousand years since the beginning of the Han dynasty,and it has spread all over China.This paper focuses on the transmission and evolution of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" in order to explore the reasons for its popularity and public acceptance in ancient China.This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is the development of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety".According to the number of dutiful son,carrier form and audience scale,it can be roughly divided into five stages: the budding period,the initial development period,the late development period,the formative period and the redeveloping period.During the Han dynasty,stories about dutiful son were collected to promote the spread of filial piety;In the Wei,Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties,the carrier form and the audience of filial piety stories were further increased and expanded,which were widely spread in the scholar-officials.In the existing historical materials,the Sui and Tang dynasties were the earliest period when the word "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" appeared.With the rise of civic culture,the art forms presented are more popular,diverse and widely popular;In the Song and Yuan dynasties,the system of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" was finally formed.Operas and novels of the Ming and Qing dynasties widely absorbed the stories of filial piety in the "twenty-four filial piety",which were widely popular among all strata.The second chapter aims at explaining the attitude and acceptance of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" from the perspective of the communication subject.Cultural elites hold contradictory views on "Twenty-four stories of filial piety",praising its ability to highlight the "filial piety" ideology and culture,while sneering at its shoddy and unreasonable contents.The folk people pay more attention to the pursuit of the "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" story of entertaining human,through the folk version of the transformation of filial piety story,character plot,filial piety elements more rich.Chapter three explores the reasons for the widespread popularity of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" through the analysis of the text contents of it and its audience and creators."Twenty-four stories of filial piety" is widely spread throughout China and even abroad.It is related to the artistic characteristics that "ordinary people" appreciate.The content is close to and beyond the people’s life.In addition,the creators of the related contents of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" cater to the social adopt the way of "teaching through fun",which not only helps the thought of "filial piety" subtly influence,but also enables the story to resonate with the public.Finally,the government’s promotion is also helpful to its popularity and dissemination.The fourth chapter compares the ancient and modern versions of "Twenty-four stories of filial piety" and investigates its popularity and reasons in modern life.The present version of it takes the empty shell of the old version to abandon the unreasonable extreme filial behavior in the old version and pay more attention to the feasibility.
