| Academic procrastination is a common phenomenon among college students at present.It will not only affect the academic achievement of college students,but also have a negative impact on their employment.However,the causes of academic procrastination and how to improve it have become a hot research topic in pedagogy and psychology.So when college students have academic procrastination,how to face it with a positive attitude? Or which positive psychological quality can inhibit the behavior? These are worthy of further discussion.Based on this,the study introduces the three variables of parenting style,self-esteem and psychological resilience,aiming to investigate the characteristics of current college students’ academic procrastination,explore the internal mechanism of parenting style and academic procrastination,and the intermediary role of self-esteem and psychological resilience in it.This study uses the Chinese version of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale revised by Xiao Nan and Zhang Jianxin(2007),Academic procrastination scale(APS)compiled by Aitken(1982),Chinese version of simplified parenting style scale revised by Jiang Yuan et al.(2010),and Chinese self-esteem scale(SES),compiled by Rosenberg(1965),translated and revised by Ji Yifu and Yu Xin(1993)as the main measurement tools,taking 807 college students in Baoding City as the research object,using spss22.0 and process plug-in to carry out descriptive statistics,correlation analysis,regression analysis and intermediary effect test on the data,and the following research conclusions are obtained:1.There is no significant difference in gender between academic procrastination,parenting style,self-esteem and psychological resilience;there are significant differences in grade of academic procrastination,parenting style,self-esteem and psychological resilience;there is no significant difference in only-child or not between academic procrastination and psychological resilience of college students,and there is a significant difference in only-child or not between parenting style and self-esteem;there is no significant difference in Academic Procrastination of college students in origin of student,and the other three variables have significant differences in origin of student.2.Self-esteem can significantly negatively predict academic procrastination;psychological resilience can significantly negatively predict academic procrastination;father’s refusal,mother’s refusal,father’s overprotection and mother’s overprotection can significantly positively predict academic procrastination.3.Self-esteem and psychological resilience play an intermediary role between College Students’ parenting style and academic procrastination.Specifically,self-esteem and psychological resilience play a chain mediating role in the six ways of education and academic procrastination:father’s rejection,father’s emotional warmth,father’s over protection,mother’s rejection,mother’s emotional warmth and mother’s over protection. |
