Lao tzu interprets the Tao through the Water.From the water he learned moral values applicable to personal life,social interaction and national governance.Based on the existing research achievements in the academic circle,this paper turns the research perspective to the value theory of "water",and tries to integrate the metaphysical tao with the physical water in the moral value.The introductory part of this paper gives a general overview of the current research situation in the academic circles.The first chapter briefly introduces the question of who Lao tzu is,and introduces the different versions of Lao Tzu selected in this paper,and then lists the chapters containing water in Lao Tzu.Chapter second to chapter third analyze the two chapters that directly use "water".In chapter four,two examples are selected for classification and discussion.The last chapter makes a summary and tries to find a feasible direction for the improvement of the moral system in modern society.
